About the Presentation
Join us for our very first buildathon designed for builders!
Unlike a traditional hackathon, this event is focused on helping business professionals, knowledge workers, domain experts, product thinkers, and curious creators use AI to turn ideas into apps, prototypes, workflows, and tools.
It’s going to be a fun, hands-on night of building with AI!
- We’ll start with a short introduction to the meetup.
- Then we’ll walk through how to talk to AI during the building process, including how to describe your idea, ask AI for help, simplify your scope, and move toward something demoable.
- Before build time, we’ll provide starter ideas, example prompts, and practical guidance to help you get moving quickly.
- Then you’ll spend one focused hour building your own project using the AI tools of your choice.
At the end, attendees can share short demos of what they built, what problem it solves, who it is for, and what they would improve next.
You can build an app, prototype, workflow, mockup, business process helper, content tool, productivity tool, or anything else useful enough to explain and demo.
You will not be on your own. We’ll have a few people available during build time to help answer questions, help you get unstuck, or help you focus your idea into something you can actually demo by the end of the night.
We’ll have pizza, and there may be prizes for the 1st and 2nd place winners, voted by the attendees themselves!
You do not need to be a developer to participate. You just need to bring an idea, a laptop, and your favorite AI tool, such as ChatGPT, Claude AI, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Gemini, Cursor, Lovable, Replit, V0, or another AI assistant you like using.
The goal is not to build something perfect. The goal is to start building.
